Charm testing goes awry in Enugu as herbalist murders teenager


It was a tragic weekend for the people of Amagu Uwani Mgboko Aku of Igbo Etiti in Enugu State, as a 13 year old boy, Obumuneme Oluka died while a charm is being tested on him.

According to Enugu State Police Public Relations Office, Ebere Amaraizu, on the 5th of August,2016 Ekene Oluka who is about 26 years and of same kindred with the deceased beckoned on the deceased  whom he allegedly used in testing of his gun charms prepared for him by a herbalist for protection.

It was gathered that the suspect had earlier tested gun and cutlass charm on the deceased which allegedly worked  but as he tried to test the empty bottle charm on the deceased, the bottle broke and caused severe injury on the head of the deceased which allegedly left him unconscious and he was confirmed dead as he was rushed to a hospital for medical attention.

The PPRO, Ebere Amaraizu disclosed that the suspect and his parents have deserted their homes to unknown destination while manhunt on the fleeing suspect has been intensified.

The dead body of the deceased has been deposited at the mortuary of Attah Memorial hospital, Aku for autopsy.
